The uniquely shaped state known as Idaho may not be the first place you think of when planning a vacation, but you shouldn't underestimate this northwestern beauty. Home of some of the country's best potatoes, Idaho also offers vacationers a great place to ski, hike and just enjoy the great outdoors. From beautiful mountains, to thick forests and even sandy desert dunes, this state has it all! Idaho is best enjoyed when it can be fully explored, so taking an RV trip to this state is a great idea.

Idaho is split into seven different regions, ranging from the Northern region at the top of the state to the Southeastern region tucked into the opposite corner. Each of these regions has a great selection of Idaho RV facilities for visitors to use and enjoy. The city of Coeur d'Alene, in the Northern region of Idaho, offers campers a great spot to enjoy hiking, fishing in clean lakes and other water sports such as canoeing and water skiing. Snow skiing
is available here as well, for those who'd prefer a more wintery trip ? but be aware, most of the Idaho RV facilities are only open seasonally.

Located in Coeur d'Alene is the Cedar Motel and RV Park. This is a seasonal establishment; both the motel portion and the RV hook up sites are only open from May 1 to October 1. The RV park itself includes 39 hook ups, all of which are pull through sites. They are full hookups, meaning that electric, water and sewer is provided ? cable TV is available at an additional charge. The Cedar Motel and RV Park also has a dump site, laundry room, showers and allows pets ? a good bonus for families that are planning to travel with their furry loved ones.

If you're looking to stay in a more southern part of Idaho, there are also many spots available for your next trip. The Southeastern region of Idaho offers travelers a glimpse in to the past ? the Oregon Trail went through this area during the time of the western expansion. Lava rock formations and other interesting terrain also make this a great spot. The Central Links Golf Course and RV Park, located in the town of Grace, offers campers amenities such as 70 foot hook up spots, including water and electric. These are pull throughs, with fire rings available, as well as showers and even wireless Internet.

Idaho makes an excellent vacation destination for families of all ages and sizes. Taking your RV to Idaho means that you'll be able to enjoy all that this diverse state has to offer, from lava landscapes to frigid mountain lakes.
