Lightning Strikes DoncasterThe Reece Lightning Show is to be one of the biggest variety shows launched in Doncaster for many years. Starring Doncaster lad Reece Lightning it started off as a small idea, a project to re-establish Reece after leaving The Around Britain Tour whichThe Reece Lightning show will strike Doncaster on 16th and 17th Feb, tickets start at £10 - £12 The show will feature the wonderful dancers from the School of Intermedia and Performing Arts (University Centre Doncaster). Canada?s acclaimed illusionist Ravi Mayar is flying in to make his UK debut, also debuting are local boy band UNDERGLOW. Singing sensation Lesley Ball is to open the show with a tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber and seasoned performer Lori le Verne, a friend of Reece for 10 years, is to perform the greatest songs of Dusty Springfield. The comedy spot will feature actress Gaye Shepherd. Reece has lived in Doncaster all h Some background on Doncaster's Mr Entertainment. Reece?s career started when he was signed to the BBC at the age of 15. He travelled Europe with BBC worldwide, before taking to the stage as front man in London?s West End for the award winning production of Sing A Long The Sound of Music. He has demonstrated his versatility by also playing serial killer Dennis Nielson for a Docu-Drama. As Dan Schutzman of Footballers Wives says "this guy is not just a breathe of fresh air, he's a full scale hurricane". Over the years he has played theatres around the globe presenting Euromeet, and taking lead roles in many productions such as Godspell, Marat Sade, Blood Brothers and Snow Queen. He has represented Yorkshire and England across the globe taking the message of "ENTERTAINMENT" with him as he travels. Reece is also a stalwart support of the Friends of Doncaster Grand Theatre , giving his time to support the restoration and reopening of Doncaster's magnificent Grand Theatre and Opera House. Future Plans Not one to rest on his laurels Reece is already making plans for the future with a UK tour of the Reece Lightning show in the offing.
