The Revolving Top 10 List

I use each of these products on a regular basis they’re not necessarily the newest or the best in their category, but they're currently in favor. They're doing their jobs, mostly making my life easier.

1. Uniden PowerMax 5.8GHz phone:

With our previous cordless phones, a Uniden and a Toshiba, we could never find a ringing phone in time. Now, with the Uniden base station and four interchangeable handsets, any phone can be returned to any of the four satellite stations.

2. Belkin OmniCube 4-port KVM switch:

What do you do when you have two PCs and a Mac, but you only want one keyboard, one mouse and one monitor? Get one of these. It has keyboard hotkeys so you can switch from one computer to another. Mine is several years old and works perfectly.

3. Apple iPod:

It can save and playback iTunes files, CD tracks, Wave, Apple Lossless, and mp3/mp4 files on the same disc.

4. Sony Mini DV Digital HandyCam:

It has a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar lens, Steady Shot stabilization, a Memory Stick slot and USB streaming capability, for starters, and of course, FireWire I
/O. This consumer digital HandyCam delivers clean, crisp images.

5. Canon PowerShot S70:

Great digital imagery comes out of this 7 MegaPixel camera with a footprint about the size of a Brownie Automatic.

6. Logitech Cordless optical mouse:

Cordless technology has come a long way. The Logitech I'm using now never lags.

7. Pioneer DV-578A DVD multiplayer:

It plays them all -- audio CDs, CD-ROMs, DVD Video, DVD-A, SACD. And it reads mp3, WMA files and jpeg content as well. Plus, it sells for about $125 at retail.

8. Magnepan MMG W speakers:

these flat panel home theater speakers are 38 inches tall, 10 inches wide and one inch thick. They fasten to the wall with a mounting bracket that swings out for playback. They have the clear, balanced planar sound that Magnepans are known for. Best of all, they're only $299 a pair (sold direct).

9. Hsu VTF-2 Subwoofer:

None others had the tightly focused bass that this one had. When I drove over to the Hsu Research Lab in Anaheim, CA, to pick it up, I met Dr. Hsu, who was happy to chat about his products.

10. Seagate USB 2.0 Pocket Drive:

It still seems incredible to me that a 5 GB hard drive can be carried around in your pocket, taking up less room than a box of Altoids.
