A Woman's Concerns On Health and Sexual Issues Answered

Question to Spicy Gear's Experts - I'm a little scared about using a vibrator. Now, I bought one out of curiosity (And because I have no sex life now) but I heard that if you use a vibrator too much, you can't get an orgasm without it. Is that true? A
lso, I had sex recently for the first time in over a year. And it hurt like it was my first time! Is it possible to get one's virginity back? And... last question. I don't know if you can answer this, but... I consider myself very clean. And as far as I know, I don't have any STDs, but lately, down there has been really itchy and sore in some spots. Is it because I am too rough when I clean it? Or is it because I clean it too much? Or... is it something I should get checked out asap...

You ask several great questions. First, vibrator use is wonderful and, if the vibrator is used properly, it should only enhance your sexual life and your orgasmic pleasure. It is true that some women find that they become so accustomed to their vibrator that other pleasures become more challenging. So I recommend that you keep your sexual activities many and varied -- and fun! Second, you cannot get your virginity back, but if you cease having vaginal play for a prolonged period, the muscles
of the vaginal canal may become less healthy and then tender when you begin having intercourse again. I always recommend that women who are having an intermission in their partnered sex lives ? and not having intercourse for a while ? should make a point of regularly stimulating themselves inside, with a dildo or fingers, in order to keep the vaginal canal supple and ready for action. Third, anyone who has genital itchiness should probably go to their medical practitioner for a check-up, because unfortunately many sexually transmitted infections (or other infections like yeast infections) produce no obvious symptoms and many of us are infected without knowing it. Finally, you write about cleaning yourself and, if you mean that you are cleaning your vagina internally, I would recommend that you talk with a medical practitioner or certified Sex Therapist about how you are doing this ? the inside of the vagina is a delicate area and usually should not be washed with regular soaps, etc.
