It can be used in higher quantities ,as well It acts as a cheaper substitute for Damascones. As it can be used in higher quantities [ 20-30% ]as against 1-2 % of Damascones ,hence used as a base in formulations. It is more stable than Damascones & OTBCHA in most of the formulations.
1] Oriental Aldehydic Fragrances: It gives a creamy. feminine touch along with Patchouli . 2] It acts as a booster when used in Woody-Aldehydic fragrances. 3] It blends very well with natural rose. Wherever we are using ALPHA-DAMASCONE say about 2%,We can comfortably replace by 2% FLORACONE WITH 0.2% of ALPHA-DAMASCONE. The power and diffusion obtained by the use of DAMASCONE ALPHA directly can be replaced by using FLORASCONE in combination with ALPHA-DAMASCONE is the same A combination of Alpha-Damascone & Florascone adds a completeness associated with natural rose, increases diffusion, richness, and gives a soft petal-like character.
