Team McLaren Mercedes Gets Ready For Malaysian Grand PrixFollowing a great start to the season in the Australia Grand Prix, Team McLaren Mercedes is gearing up to complement that with another impressive showing at the Malaysian Grand Prix. After the season opener in Australia, the majority of the team?s memThe team is now gearing up for the upcoming Malaysian grand prix which would be happening on the 8th of April. The upcoming race will be the ninth time that the Sepang circuit will host the F1 Grand Prix. The hot condition in the country has made members of the team concerned on the effect of this factor on the drivers. To prepare for that, both Fernando and Lewis will be engaging in outdoor training to help their bodies acclimatize to the tropical climate. Alonso will be playing tennis while Hamilton will be making running exercises in Thailand where the weather condition is similar to that in Malaysia. As far as the race and the track are concerned, Fernando Alonso has this to say: ?It was a solid start to the season in Australia. We knew we were not as quick as the Ferrari?s so we had a good result in light of this. In the early part of the season it is important to keep scoring It can be remembered that last year, Alonso, driving for Renault, qualified at the seventh spot during the Malaysian Grand Prix after a fueling error but he still manages to get ahead of most of the pack for a podium finish. Meanwhile, rising racing star Lewis Hamilton has this to say: ?From what I had seen of the track before arriving for the test this week, I thought it looked like a great circuit and I was not disappointed. Its layout means you can build up a great rhythm, with all the corners running into each other. It is also really wide, which I imagine will lead to exciting racing. The four days of testing this week were really useful on two counts. We had a number of developments to the car that we ran and will now bring to the race, and I was able to learn the track prior to the event. I am now looking forward to competitive action here. As I said at the time, it was a dream start for me in Australia, but I am realistic that motorsport is unpredictable and things don?t always go so well. We have all been working to reduce the gap to Ferrari and I will do my best with Fernando and the team towards this in Malaysia.? Lewis Hamilton is the youngest ever driver to have an F1 contract at 13. The dynamic duo of Team Vodafone McLaren Mercedes is determined to put up another good performance at the Malaysian grand prix. The pair is expected to once again show their driving capabilities on board their fine tuned vehicles which are even more powerful than street legal cars equipped with performance enhancing aftermarket parts such as a Volant cold air intake system. Whether the two drivers will once again attain podium finishes still remains to be seen though.
