Of course some people have no option to prepare as there pregnancy may be unexpec ted, or a joyous surprise. That is truly a blessing in disguise if one has been taking care of herself from the beginning. But the woman should look at her pregnancy in the long term before she gets pregnant sop she can properly prepare for a healthy, beautiful baby.
It is an unfortunate fact all too often that we can see expecting mothers walking down the street smoking a cigarette, drinking excessive amounts of coffee, or worse yet, alcohol. The temporary pleasures she may attain from that will have lifelong consequences for her yet, unborn baby.
Also, the use of prescription drugs must be considered. Some other common medicines that your doctor may tell you to avoid include aspirin and pain relievers with acetaminophen; anti depressants; antihistamines; antibiotics, such as streptomycin and tetracycline; anticoagulants, which are used to treat clotting disorders; and anticonvulsants, which are used to treat seizure disorders. But don't stop taking prescription drugs without co nsulting your health care provider - he or she will help you weigh potential benefits and risks to discontinuing your prescription.
If the mother is fortunate enough to be able to plan her pregnancy, then she would eliminate the bad elements from her diet and begin exercising and a healthy diet months before she becomes pregnant. As always, before undertaking an exercise program the woman would want to check with her doctor to see if she was able to safely begin an exercise routine.
The reduction of red meats,the addition of fresh vegetables and fresh clean water is essential for not only the expecting mother, but every women in general.Your body will be going through many changes, and in the first week alone you can expect many things.
Your body may require extra vitamin supplements. Maintain a diet that contains an adequate amount of vitamins, especially folic acid. Women who are attempting to become pregnant should take at least 0.4 to 0.8 milligrams of folic acid a day. Adequate folic acid intake reduces the risk of neural tube defects (birth defects caused by incomplete development of the brain or spinal cord), such as spina bifida. Be sure to talk to your health care provider about taking a folic acid supplement while you are trying to conceive.
